A new advertising campaign by the International Franchise Association highlights one of the many economic benefits of franchising: job creation. The IFA’s Public Awareness Campaign is dedicated to touting the economic impact of franchising and educate lawmakers and the general public regarding the economic outlook for franchise businesses, as opposed to non-franchised businesses.

Nevada Development Authority Dinner Highlights Reasons Why Las Vegas Is “Best Business Climate In The U.S.”
On February 16, 2011, Armstrong Teasdale and the accounting firm Fair, Anderson & Langerman co-hosted a dinner with the Nevada Development Authority for franchisors attending the International Franchise Association’s 51st annual convention in Las Vegas. The theme of the dinner, which was held at the world-famous RM Seafood restaurant, was why Las Vegas is “the best business climate in the U.S.”

The International Franchise Association has hailed Wednesday’s 245-189 vote by the House of Representatives to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) — the law widely known as “Obamacare.”
U.S. Census Bureau Issues Report On Franchising
For the first time ever, the U.S. Census Bureau issued a report today on the nation’s franchised businesses. The report, entitled the Economic Census Franchise Report, found that franchise businesses account for 10.5 percent of all businesses operating in the U.S., and nearly 17 percent of the total amount of sales made in the country, with nearly $1.3 trillion dollars in sales annually.
